Job summary

Parkland Health is seeking a registered nurse to join the Hospital at Home program in Dallas. The RN will coordinate acute patient care in home settings, assess patient needs, and implement individualized care plans in accordance with Parkland nursing practice standards.

The role requires two years of acute care experience, an active Texas RN license (or compact), CPR certification, and a driver’s license. A BSN is preferred, with the program operating seven days a week and rotating

Qualifications

• Must have two years of nursing experience in the acute care setting.
• Prefer Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Must have current, valid RN license or temporary RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing; or, valid Compact RN license.
• Must have current healthcare provider CPR from AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network.
• Must have current, valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Acts autonomously to coordinate and deliver care to multiple patients in Dallas County.
• Completes patient assessments, admission criteria, and discharge planning.
• Documents in patient care records accurately and timely.
• Maintains knowledge of applicable rules and guidelines impacting nursing practice.
• Serves as a preceptor or trainer to newer nursing staff.
