Job summary

Simply Innovative Therapies is seeking Behavior Technicians (BTs) to provide after-school, in-home ABA services on Long Island. BTs work directly with learners to implement individualized treatment plans under supervision of a BCBA or CBAA. Responsibilities include data collection, documenting learner progress, and collaborating with families.

RBT certification is preferred; we provide training for newcomers. A high school diploma is required, and a background check is needed.

Qualifications

• Current RBT certification preferred; WE CAN HELP CERTIFY.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavior challenges preferred but not required.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and observational skills.
• Patience, empathy, and genuine interest in helping individuals improve quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Implement Treatment Plans: Follow protocols and programs developed by a BCBA or CBAA.
• Provide Direct ABA Services: Work one-on-one in homes during after-school/evening hours.
• Skill Acquisition: Apply NET, DTT, prompting and reinforcement.
• Behavior Support: Use antecedent strategies and replacement skills.
• Data Collection: Accurately record learner performance and progress.
• Documentation: Complete session notes and reports on schedule.
• Supervision and Training: Participate in ongoing supervision and feedback.
• Caregiver/Team Communication: Maintain professional communication with the treatment team.
• Generalization: Support skills across people, activities, routines and environments.
• Professional/ethical conduct: Maintain confidentiality and ethics.
