Job summary

AmeriCorps State / National program in Washington state recruits an In-facility Employment Readiness Navigator to work in DOC facilities and WorkSource offices to boost job readiness for justice-impacted adults. This role supports re-entry, trauma-informed service delivery, and local employment connections within Thurston, Mason, and Grays Harbor counties.

You will gain experience facilitating workshops, coordinating warm hand-offs to WorkSource contacts, and engaging employers for second-chance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience or aptitude in employment-readiness instruction is a plus.
• Comfort working in correctional settings and communities.

Responsibilities

• The In-facility Employment Readiness Navigator will improve access to employment for justice-impacted individuals.
• Deliver employment-readiness workshops inside DOC facilities; build relationships with local jails; provide individualized support; connect participants to local WorkSource re-entry contacts; engage local employers in providing second-chance hiring opportunities; support justice-impacted individuals in preparing for job search and successful transition to community-based services.
