Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid NJ Substitute Certification.
• NJ Criminal History.
• Work authorization in the U.S.
• Tuberculosis Test.
• Experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers and students in the classroom with assistance in the academic and developmental progress of students.
• Assist teachers in delivering educational content by working with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Help maintain a positive learning environment by supporting classroom routines and supervising student behavior.
• Assist with clerical duties such as setting up equipment, preparing instructional materials, and recording student progress.
• Monitor students in various settings, including cafeterias, hallways, and during field trips, ensuring safety and policy adherence.
• Work closely with fellow teachers, support staff, and administrators to enhance instructional practices.
• Engage in ongoing professional growth opportunities such as training and workshops.
• Communicate responsibly with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and school leadership.
• Account for student attendance and punctuality.
• Follow all county, state, and federal policies and procedures.
• Follow professional ethics in all work-related activities.
