Job description

Scope of Performance: Qualified A/V technician to support maintenance, repair, and installation of explosive and chemical processing equipment. Technician will work in all explosive and chemical processing areas as determined by management or COR. Technician shall be subject to physical examinations and certification requirements. Technician will also support varying shifts including night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tasks may include but are not limited to routine maintenance, repair, installation and modification to existing or new process equipment.
  • Troubleshoot repairs, modifies, and conducts preventative maintenance on complex electrical, mechanical, and processing systems.
  • Responsible for installation, set up, and operation of camera and recording equipment
  • Troubleshoot, repair and routine maintenance of a variety of new and old A/V equipment including various components.
  • Installation of LCD projectors, monitors, speakers and TVs.
  • Demolition and installation of new A/V systems
  • Technician may be required to execute written maintenance procedures and document work completed on record sheets to be archived in data base.

Education and Experience - Required:

  • Prior audio/visual repair experience in the manufacturing field required
  • Electrical experience required
  • Ability to gain/maintain a Secret Clearance
  • Ability to pass Explosives Handler physical and Respirator Fit test
  • Ability to pass Ammo-18 Certification class
  • Sound technical skills
  • Sufficient knowledge of mathematics
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75lbs)
