Job summary

Pratt Miller, an Oshkosh company, in Michigan seeks a Performance Engineer for the Competition Engineering Department to support an IMSA Weather Tech Championship program. This is an in-person role with travel to race and test events as needed.

You will collaborate with engineering to set event objectives, analyze data, run vehicle simulations, and develop race strategies. The role requires a BS in engineering with motorsport experience and the ability to work under time constraints.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or related technical field.
• 5 years in motorsport or equivalent experience.
• Strong data analysis and vehicle dynamics knowledge.
• Experience with vehicle simulation and modeling.
• Ability to communicate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 80 days per year.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute event related objectives and hardware or vehicle prep.
• Analyze performance using data, simulations, and historical information.
• Develop, manage, and document vehicle performance and race strategy work.
• Process and analyze vehicle data; manage toolchains for performance results.
• Coordinate with trackside and remote support resources.
• Support development of vehicle hardware and subsystems and testing.
