Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, based in Zionsville, Indiana, seeks an experienced race mechanic to support the IMSA GTD PRO program. You will contribute to car preparation, setup, maintenance, and trackside execution with the engineering team.

You will work closely with the Chief Mechanic and crew, combining shop work at our Zionsville headquarters with the demanding pace of testing and racing. GT3/endurance experience is valued; strong attention to detail is essential.

Formación

• Proven experience preparing and maintaining race cars in professional motorsport.
• Strong working knowledge of race-car systems, chassis setup, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Ability to interpret build sheets, setup instructions, technical specifications, and racing regulations.
• Attention to detail and sound judgment to raise concerns or ask questions before proceeding.
• Willingness to travel extensively to races, tests, and team events.
• GT3 and endurance racing experience is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, assemble, inspect, and maintain race cars and components to team and manufacturer specifications.
• Install and service engines, gearboxes, driveline components, suspension, cooling, fuel, and related systems.
• Follow build and setup sheets accurately and complete adjustments under supervision.
• Identify mechanical issues, wear, or damage; communicate concerns promptly; help resolve them before track time.
• Complete and check assigned work to safety and quality standards; inform Chief Mechanic of progress and items outstanding.
• Support race and test operations, including loading/unloading, spare-parts prep, and garage/paddock setup.
• Maintain an organized work area and proper tool/equipment care; follow purchasing and parts procedures.
