Job summary

PENN Entertainment in Lake Charles, LA is seeking a cashier to support guest services at the property. The role involves handling cash, operating NRT machines, and maintaining confidentiality while delivering friendly service.

The position requires strong math skills, good communication with guests and colleagues, and a detail-oriented approach to cash handling and daily tasks. Training and benefits are provided as part of the team and orientation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and team members; fluent in English.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Must have basic math skills including add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• 10-key (calculator) skills a plus.
• General cashiering background or money handling experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform varied cashier functions in a pleasant, efficient, and honest manner.
• Adhere to all departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
• Replenish currency in cassettes as needed for all NRT machines.
• Initiates end-of-day drops on machines.
• Counts cash at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Troubleshoots NRT machines when issues arise.
• Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
• Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.
