Job summary

Knowles is seeking a Shift B Operator in Liberty, SC to load and operate ovens, impregnation systems, vacuum tanks, and cleaning liners for oil-filled capacitors. The role follows a schedule of 6AM-6:30PM Thursday-Friday-Saturday and 8 hours every other Sunday.

You will read work orders, gather materials, manage impregnation cycles, run leak tests, and document results while contributing to a safe work environment and strict adherence to manufacturing specifications.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED is required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must be a detail-oriented self-starter able to multi-task, as necessary.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and understand manufacturing documents.
• Proficiency in high school level math skills.
• Ability to utilize measuring tools and other hand-held tools.
• Routing problem solving (evaluate and establish facts and seek solutions).

Responsibilities

• Reads and understands a work order packet and other related work documentation to determine what processes need to be used.
• Gather the material identified in the work order packet.
• Load capacitors into ovens or liners at the start of the impregnation cycle to dry parts.
• Transfers units into vacuum tanks/liners at specified times for impregnation.
• Transfers units from vacuum tanks/liners and prepares them for leak test.
• Perform acceptance tests on dielectric fluids.
• Promptly complete job folders and other supporting documentation.
• Communicate with manufacturing supervision regarding any non-conformances in shop packets, materials, instructions, or other irregularities.
• Contribute to a safe and healthy working environment by proper use and maintenance of company provided assets.
• Other assignments as requested or as business needs require.

Processes parts within expected time frames. Hours: 6AM-6:30PM Thursday-Friday-Saturday and 8 hours every other Sunday.
