The position allows remote work with residency in California, Arizona, or Nevada, and offers a salary range of $85,896 to $127,000 plus commission based on performance.

Position Summary

The Impower95 Loan Officer will play a crucial role in the success of the Impower Program. The incumbent will primarily be responsible for the marketing and promoting the Impower95 loan product, a product designed and developed for small business borrowers that generally would not qualify for SBA or conventional loan products. Loans are for owner‑occupied or partially owner occupied commercial real estate. The incumbent must have an in‑depth understanding of pricing, repayment structures, eligibility criteria, and the credit box the Impower95 product.

This role is eligible for remote work; however, the selected candidate must reside California, Arizona or Nevada.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Market and promote the Impower95 loan product to lenders, small businesses, real estate and loan brokers, as well as other financial institutions, Certified Development Companies and community development lenders.
• Identify, cultivate, build, and manage relationships with external stakeholders and other community groups to further the reach of the program.
• Collaborate with Capital Deployment teams for cross marketing opportunities.
• Ability to make presentations to groups, individuals and represent Momentus at business and industry functions.
• Gather data (both qualitative and quantitative) about the Impower95 product and identify areas for improvement within capital constraints.
• Prequalify and Structure loans:
  • Identify, meet, and pre‑screen potential borrowers to discuss the loan program.
  • Pre‑Qualify, compile, structure, and analyze loan applications for eligibility, credit worthiness and repayment ability using established credit guidelines.
  • Provide loan structure, use of proceeds, business history, management, loan purpose and eligibility narrative within loan management software (Ventures+).
  • Determine loan eligibility based on any Geographic, Occupancy, Industry or Cash Flow specific requirements.
  • Determine credit worthiness based on review of cash flow and credit history. Ensure prospects will meet basic credit criteria before moving files to processing or underwriting.
  • Prepare and provide quarterly impact stories to CDC management and marketing team.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, marketing, economics, finance, or urban studies from a recognized college or university or equivalent qualifying experience.
• 5 years of business development experience, selling commercial real estate loan products.
• Well established network of Real Estate Broker, Lender and Community partner contacts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing reports, publications and presentations to promote new ideas and share best practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others and successfully interact with people at all management and support levels, as well as people of diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
• Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
• Commercial business and real estate loan structure and underwriting fundamentals.
• Sales and marketing techniques and ability to educate business owners, brokers, bankers, civic personnel, and related financial professionals on lending programs.
• Principles and practices of financial management.
• Methods of presenting economic development and financing information to the public.

This role is eligible for remote work; however, the selected candidate must reside California, Arizona or Nevada.

The salary range for this position is $85,896 – $127,000 and is be eligible for commission.

• Structure A: $85,896–$114,671 All locations except Structures B and C
• Structure B: $95,000–$120,000 Washington, D.C.; Maryland; Virginia (DMV); non-Bay Area California markets; and Massachusetts
• Structure C: $104,697–$127,000 New York; New Jersey; and the California Bay Area
