Base pay range

Location: New Jersey

Salary: 60,000 to 65,000 USD

Schedule: Hybrid – 4 days in office, Fridays work from home

Overview

A growing freight forwarder in New Jersey is looking for an Import Export Coordinator with solid ocean freight experience and a real knack for building strong client relationships. If you like owning shipments A to Z and being the go to person for your customers, this role will feel like home.

What you’ll be doing

• Coordinate full A to Z ocean import and export shipments.
• Manage bookings, pricing, documentation, tracking, and billing.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and reliable service.
• Work closely with clients to understand their needs and keep them updated throughout the process.
• Communicate with carriers and overseas agents to keep shipments on track.
• Prepare and review documents including BOLs, invoices, and arrival notices.
• Track shipments through final delivery and resolve any issues quickly.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate costing and timely invoicing.

What you bring

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on ocean freight experience in a freight forwarding environment.
• Strong customer service skills with a genuine focus on client satisfaction.

• Able to manage shipments independently from start to finish.
