Pay Rate: $31.00 per hour
Schedule:
Global freight never sleeps, and neither does great coordination. As our Import/Export Coordinator, you will manage international and domestic freight movements, keep shipments processing on time, and make customs compliance and accurate documentation second nature.
You will partner closely with customers, freight forwarders, carriers, suppliers, warehouses, and internal teams to keep goods moving efficiently through the supply chain, every shipment, every time.
Job Duties
- Coordinate import and export shipments from origin through final delivery, and arrange transportation, customs clearance, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare, review, and process shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs paperwork.
- Track shipments, resolve transportation issues, delays, and discrepancies, and communicate status and requirements to internal teams and external partners.
- Maintain accurate shipment records, update logistics systems, coordinate container movements with warehouses, and support inventory control and supply chain operations.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, international business, or a related field preferred.
Experience Requirements
- Experience in import/export, logistics, freight forwarding, or international transportation required.
- Working knowledge of customs regulations, international shipping procedures, and trade compliance.
- Experience with air and ocean freight coordination, customs documentation, and shipment tracking preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data entry, reporting, and logistics management systems.
- Experience working with freight carriers, customs brokers, and warehouse or distribution center operations preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods to manage logistics systems, shipping documentation, and reporting.
- Ability to communicate effectively by phone and email with carriers, customs brokers, suppliers, and customers.
- Ability to review detailed shipping and customs documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
