TELUS Health is empowering every person to live their healthiest life. Guided by our vision, we are leveraging the power of our leading edge technology and focusing on the uniqueness of each individual to create the future of health. As a global-leading health and well-being provider – encompassing physical, mental and financial health – TELUS Health is improving health outcomes for consumers, patients, healthcare professionals, employers and employees.

We’re looking for a Implementation Technical Lead to play a critical role in the success of client implementations by managing technical requirements, documentation, and communication. In this role, you’ll work with enterprise-level clients as their primary technical point of contact, ensuring their needs are met and our solutions align with their business objectives. Strong communication is essential—you’ll be expected to present complex ideas clearly, engage with both technical and business stakeholders, and drive alignment across teams. A key part of this role is developing and delivering presentations, leading technical discussions, and creating clear documentation to support successful implementations. If you’re comfortable owning technical success, presenting to clients, solving complex implementation challenges, and keeping projects on track, this role is a great fit.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Requirement Analysis

  • Analyze RFP responses to understand solution architecture and client needs.
  • Lead technical workshops to gather and refine solution requirements.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to define technical scope, Fit-Gap sessions, and project phases.

Technical Solution Design

  • Conduct Fit-Gap analysis and workshops to develop technical architecture deliverables (e.g., integration and component designs).
  • Identify and document third-party vendor requirements and technical dependencies.
  • Confirm the technology stack, hardware, and software specifications.

Implementation & Deployment

  • Lead hardware procurement and infrastructure setup for deployment.
  • Coordinate with internal and client teams on technical deployment activities.
  • Ensure the readiness of solution components for go-live, including upgrades and integration points.

Ongoing Technical Leadership

  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for the client, addressing architecture, infrastructure, and networking questions.
  • Support technical delivery activities, including demos, sign-offs, and documentation.
  • Provide guidance to functional teams on technical requirements and third-party integrations.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Degree in computer science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in solution architecture and technical project delivery.
  • Strong experience leading technical workshops and Fit-Gap analysis sessions.
  • Expertise in integration architecture, infrastructure design, and solution deployment.
  • Excellent communication in English (verbal and written).
  • Experience with stakeholder management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with both on-premise and SaaS solutions.
  • Available for occasional travel in Canada and the US.

Preferred:

  • Experience in enterprise software implementations across multiple industries.
  • Certification in cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, etc.).

What's in it for you

  • 100% work from home arrangement with minimal travel requirements for essential client meetings.
  • Long-term, enterprise-level project engagement with extensive exposure to multiple business modules (Pension, Health & Welfare, Payroll, Finance).
  • Rich mix of internal and external client interactions and a dynamic, collaborative team driving innovation in our industry.
  • Comprehensive customizable benefits package to suit your unique needs and lifestyle.
  • Paid vacation days & well-being days as well as a well-being expense account to help maintain a better work/life balance.
  • Various investments options such as employee share purchase plan, group RRSP & TFSA, and DC pension plan.
  • Generous mental health support account to cover for the cost of therapy/counseling sessions.
