Job summary

SURGE Staffing is seeking an experienced Implementation Project Manager to lead deployment of pharmacy equipment and integrated technology across hospital environments. You will oversee the full implementation lifecycle, from discovery to optimization, ensuring minimal disruption to pharmacy operations.

The role requires coordinating installation, training, go-live, and support for equipment placement and service across product lines, with up to 75% travel.

Qualifications

• Strong PM with experience managing healthcare deployments.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer kickoff calls, project check-ins, and optimization meetings throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Partner with pharmacy customers to plan and execute discovery, initiation, installation, go-live, and optimization activities.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project communication, status updates, and implementation coordination.
• Install and configure integrated technology components, including computers, scanners, cameras, printers, and gravimetric scales.
• Coordinate the timely transition of equipment into active use while minimizing downtime.
• Deliver comprehensive training and ongoing support to customers and internal stakeholders on equipment use and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and identify opportunities to improve product performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide a coordinated implementation and service experience.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, workbooks, checklists, and training materials.
• Maintain installation/service documentation for compliance.
• Stay current on product capabilities and healthcare regulations.
• Assist with equipment placement services for additional product lines.
• Support on-site service calls as needed.
• Manage multiple implementations, balancing timelines and needs.

Implementation Project Manager

Reports To: Senior Product Manager
Location: Hybrid/Remote
Schedule: Full-time
Travel: Up to 75%, including regional, national, and international travel. Overnight and weekend travel may be required.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Implementation Project Manager to lead the deployment of innovative pharmacy equipment and integrated technology within hospital environments. This role oversees the full implementation lifecycle for software-agnostic laminar flow hoods and Class II biosafety cabinets integrated with advanced IV compounding software.

The ideal candidate brings experience managing complex healthcare implementations, knowledge of cleanroom equipment and certification processes, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will coordinate installation, training, go-live, and optimization to minimize disruption to hospital pharmacy operations. This position also supports equipment placement and on-site service needs across additional product lines.

• Stay current on product capabilities, cleanroom standards, and applicable healthcare regulations.
• Assist with equipment placement services for additional product lines.
• Support service calls requiring on-site assistance as needed.
• Manage multiple implementations simultaneously, balancing timelines, customer needs, and project deliverables.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Extensive knowledge of laminar flow hoods, biosafety cabinets, and cleanroom technology.
• Experience supporting complex implementations within medium to large healthcare systems.
• Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to lead training sessions and work effectively with healthcare professionals.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and cleanroom equipment certification processes.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%, including overnight and weekend travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Information Technology or Healthcare Administration, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience implementing complex cleanroom equipment within hospital environments or managing complex implementations for medium to large healthcare systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience installing and configuring complex hardware systems.
• Prior clinical or pharmacy practice experience.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification and licensure.
• Sterile Pharmacy Technician Certification.
• Cleanroom training or equivalent credentials.
• Understanding of IV compounding processes and software integration.
