About the Role:
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Implementation Project Manager with a strong background in healthcare claims, hospital billing, and physician billing processes. This role focuses on onboarding new healthcare clients and ensuring smooth integration of services with existing payer and provider systems. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation of healthcare services for new clients, from kickoff to go-live, focusing on third-party billing, claims processing, and payer integration.
Serve as the main point of contact for client onboarding, ensuring alignment with healthcare regulatory requirements and internal service offerings.
Collaborate with healthcare providers, payers, and internal revenue cycle teams to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and timely project delivery.
Support billing implementations across both facility (UB-04/hospital billing) and professional (CMS-1500/physician billing) claim types, ensuring all relevant billing rules, modifiers, and coding structures are accurately configured and tested.
Manage EDI file exchange set-up (e.g., 837, 835, 270/271) with client systems, ensuring correct data mapping and testing.
Identify and address potential risks to project timelines, including claims submission or adjudication issues.
Keep all project documentation updated in accordance with company standards and client compliance expectations.
Provide clear and regular updates to clients, stakeholders, and senior leadership on project milestones.
Host regular implementation calls to track status, clarify deliverables, and address outstanding issues.
Offer mentorship and guidance to junior implementation staff and help refine internal onboarding procedures.
What We Are Looking For:
Healthcare Experience: Must have prior experience with healthcare organizations, third-party liability (TPL) claims, payers, or revenue cycle management vendors.
Claims & EDI Knowledge: Strong understanding of HIPAA-compliant EDI formats (e.g., 837i/p, 835, 270/271) and healthcare claims workflows.
Billing Expertise: Working knowledge of both hospital (institutional) billing and physician (professional) billing practices, including billing forms, and payer-specific requirements.
Education: High school diploma required; associates or bachelors degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field .
Communication Skills: Clear, concise communicator who can translate complex claims or billing issues into actionable items.
Technical Comfort: Familiarity with healthcare claims software and basic project tracking tools (Excel, Google Suite, NetSuite or similar).
Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple client implementations while maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation.
Problem-Solving: Resourceful in resolving integration challenges and ensuring claims flow without disruption.
Team Player: Able to work independently while effectively collaborating with internal departments and external stakeholders.
Travel: Willing to travel as needed to support major client launches or stakeholder meetings.
