Job description

Federal Software Implementation Project Manager
Location: Atlanta, GA or Washington, DC / Northern Virginia
Compensation: $110,000 - $135,000 base + 5% bonus
Travel: Approximately 25%
*Must have prior experience delivering software projects for Federal Government entities*
*Must be able to obtain a Public Trust*
The Opportunity

A growing enterprise SaaS company is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead complex software implementations for federal government clients. This is a hands‑on delivery role for someone who can bring structure to fast‑moving projects, communicate confidently with senior stakeholders, and understand technical work well enough to identify problems before they become delays.

You’ll manage several client projects simultaneously, including new implementations, platform upgrades, configurations, integrations, workflow development, and enhancements. Projects vary in length and complexity, so you’ll regularly transition between engagements as work is completed.

This is not a classified environment. The work supports government preparedness, response, and operational programs rather than intelligence activities.

What You’ll Own

You’ll serve as the primary point of coordination between federal clients and internal teams, including software engineers, developers, product, sales, client success, and executive leadership.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading software implementations from planning through delivery and go‑live
  • Managing project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and dependencies
  • Running multiple projects concurrently while maintaining clear priorities
  • Identifying technical or operational blockers and driving them toward resolution
  • Working with engineering teams on integrations, configurations, and product enhancements
  • Providing clear project reporting and presentations to clients and senior executives
  • Managing client expectations and navigating changing requirements
  • Tracking project financial performance, resource costs, forecasts, and budget status
  • Coordinating resources based on project needs and technical skill requirements
  • Partnering with Sales and Client Success on account growth, project scoping, and RFP responses
  • Maintaining documentation around decisions, risks, issues, mitigation plans, and deliverables
What We’re Looking For
  • 4+ years of technology project management experience
  • 3+ years managing client‑facing projects
  • Experience delivering software, SaaS, technology implementations, or similar technical programs
  • Experience supporting federal government customers strongly preferred
  • Ability to navigate government stakeholders, processes, reporting requirements, and competing priorities
  • Enough technical fluency to work effectively with engineers and investigate integration or implementation issues
  • Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, resources, scope, and schedules
  • Strong executive‑level communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with Agile delivery environments preferred
  • PMP or similar certification is a plus; certification can be sponsored after hire
  • NetSuite familiarity is helpful but not required
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to successfully complete a Public Trust/SF‑85 background investigation
  • Ability to travel approximately 25%
Why Consider It?

You’ll have meaningful ownership rather than simply tracking tasks and scheduling meetings. You’ll lead projects, interact directly with federal customers, work closely with technical teams, and have visibility with senior company leadership.

The company offers health insurance, 401(k) matching, tuition reimbursement, unlimited PTO, volunteer opportunities, and support for obtaining your PMP certification.
