Job summary

Spencer Ogden on-site team seeks a Construction/Project Coordinator to coordinate daily activities with contractors, review plans, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. The role involves site access, logistics, and documentation to keep projects on schedule.

Responsibilities include pre-job safety briefings, JHA reviews, and supporting punch lists, commissioning, and project closeout. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Support project planning by reviewing project scope, construction execution plans, schedules, permits, and constructability prior to construction activities.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors on site, coordinating daily construction activities and resolving field issues to keep projects on schedule.
• Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with safety requirements, quality standards, project specifications, and company policies.
• Conduct regular field observations and walkdowns to verify work is being completed safely and according to project requirements.
• Coordinate contractor site access, temporary facilities, material deliveries, equipment staging, and project logistics.
• Verify contractor qualifications, safety training, certifications, and required permits before work begins.
• Support daily pre-job meetings, safety briefings, outage coordination, and construction progress meetings.
• Ensure compliance with safety programs, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space, hot work, environmental requirements, and site security procedures.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), monitor work areas for hazards, and help resolve safety or construction issues as they arise.
• Coordinate material receiving, storage, and documentation while communicating project risks, schedule impacts, and field changes to the Project Lead.
• Maintain detailed daily construction reports, including manpower, work progress, safety observations, schedule updates, quality concerns, and project milestones.
• Assist with punch list completion, equipment turnover, redline drawings, commissioning activities, and project closeout documentation.
• Support startup, commissioning, lessons learned, and post-project reviews.
