Job summary

GTX Solutions is seeking an Implementation Engineer to configure Salesforce Marketing Cloud and CDPs across client engagements. You will build journeys, automations and audience processes, translating designs into tested configurations.

You will work closely with solution architects, analytics teams and client stakeholders to ensure accurate implementations and documented runbooks. Remote-first firm with travel as needed; candidates should have strong SQL/AMPscript skills, REST/SOAP API

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on marketing technology implementation, with substantial production Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience.
• 2) Proven ability building and troubleshooting Marketing Cloud journeys, automations and audiences.
• 3) Strong SQL and AMPscript for segmentation and personalization, with JavaScript for scripting.
• 4) Experience configuring at least one enterprise CDP, including identity resolution and activation.
• 5) Experience with REST APIs, JSON payloads and data integrations using Postman.

GTX Solutions leads data activation and delivery for enterprise CRM programs on the Salesforce platform, including Marketing Cloud and Data 360, spanning email, SMS and direct mail. The Implementation Engineer configures Salesforce Marketing Cloud and customer data platforms across GTX client engagements. This role builds reliable journeys, automations, audience processes and integrations that turn customer data into communications across channels. Working directly with clients, solution architects and analytics implementation engineers, this engineer translates solution designs into working, tested and documented configurations.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Salesforce Marketing Cloud journeys and automations using Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder and data extensions.


• Write SQL, AMPscript and platform scripts for audience preparation, personalization, suppression and recurring campaign processes.


• Implement journey entry, exit, re-entry, eligibility, prioritization and frequency rules.


• Configure CDP ingestion, attributes, identity rules, segments and activation into Marketing Cloud and other destinations.


• Build and troubleshoot integrations using REST and SOAP APIs, Marketing Cloud Connect, connectors and scheduled file transfers.


• Validate subscriber and contact identifiers, field mappings, audience counts, consent and suppression across connected platforms.


• Support reliable email and SMS execution and integrations with direct mail providers.


• Investigate failed automations, incomplete imports, incorrect personalization, audience discrepancies and journey execution issues.


• Partner with analytics and tagging engineers to validate how behavioral events update customer profiles, qualify audiences and trigger communications.


• Work directly with client marketing, CRM and data teams to clarify requirements, explain issues and guide implementation.


• Document configurations, dependencies, QA results, deployment procedures and operational runbooks.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands‑on experience in marketing technology implementation, including substantial production experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.


• Demonstrated experience personally building and troubleshooting Marketing Cloud journeys, automations and audiences using Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder and data extensions.


• Strong SQL and AMPscript skills for segmentation, validation and personalization, plus working JavaScript skills for platform scripting, transformations or integrations.


• Experience configuring at least one enterprise CDP, including customer profiles, identity resolution, segmentation and activation.


• Experience connecting customer data sources or CDP audiences to Salesforce Marketing Cloud.


• Experience with REST APIs, authentication, JSON payloads and scheduled data integrations, using tools such as Postman.


• Understanding of analytics events, data layers and tagging, including their impact on downstream profiles and activation.


• Practical experience implementing consent, communication preferences and suppression rules.


• Experience working directly with client technical and business stakeholders, with clear documentation and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands‑on Salesforce Data 360/Data Cloud experience.


• Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer, Marketing Cloud Consultant or Data Cloud certifications.


• Experience with SSJS, custom journey activities and API‑triggered communications.


• Experience with email deliverability, IP warming and sender reputation troubleshooting.


• Deeper analytics implementation, tag management or server‑side collection experience.


• Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery or Python.


• Automotive, OEM or dealer‑network CRM experience.


• Background in MarTech consulting or agency delivery.

Work Environment

This role supports multiple GTX client engagements across industries and technology platforms. The role requires close coordination with client marketing, technology and data teams; occasional travel or on‑site presence may be required. GTX Solutions is a remote‑first firm with team members across the United States.

$90,000 - $110,000 a yearFinal compensation will be determined based on total related experience related to the role as well as geography.
