Job description

We’re looking for a highly skilled Implementation Engineer to join our client’s team in a pivotal role supporting telecom network transformation, optimization, and maintenance. This is a hands-on, remote position (Working central time hours), MUST BE BASED IN THE UNITED STATES. You’ll play a crucial role in managing network migrations, troubleshooting outages, and enhancing performance across advanced telecom infrastructures. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy solving complex network challenges, and bring a deep understanding of Nokia platforms and routing protocols, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate installation, testing, and troubleshooting for voice and data network platforms (dark/lit fiber, GigE, 1G, 10G, 100G backhaul).
• Maintain a secure and safe operating environment, ensuring vendor safety and protecting network integrity.
• Log and track all network changes with site-specific updates for system documentation and compliance.
• Compose technical reports to support environmental and safety standards.
• Support migrations, conversions, and implementations during day or night shifts as determined by client needs.

Experience & Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant work experience in telecom network operations.
• Hands-on experience with at least one of the following platforms:
  • Nokia 7750 SR series, 7250 IXR-e, 7705 SAR series
• Strong understanding of:
  • IPv4/IPv6, static and dynamic routing (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS)
  • Network Layer-3 troubleshooting and OA&M interfaces
• Comfortable working in both CLI environments (Putty, SecureCRT) and GUI tools like Nokia Service Portal.
• Experience analyzing traffic patterns, precheck/postcheck data, and log messages to guide decisions.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to support rotating shifts.

Key Skills

• Expertise with Nokia/ALU CSR Routing Protocols
• Ability to isolate and resolve Layer-3 network issues
• Familiarity with network monitoring and inventory tools (e.g., Fuze SPM, ConQuest, IOP, INAM, Canvas/CND)
• Strong vendor management and cross-functional communication abilities
• Experience with telecom technologies such as Telephony Switching, SIP, TCP/IP, MPLS, and BFD
• Proven ability to follow procedures and collaborate in team environments
