The Implementation Project Manager is overall responsible for executing the delivery of program launch tasks to ensure the successful launch of a Valeris program. A Valeris program consists of varying combinations of Valeris products and services in support of our customers’ business strategy. The Implementation Project Manager manages the agreed upon initial program scope in order to implement the program to the client’s expectations and control project scope change to ensure that the program contract matches the implemented project. The Implementation Project Manager must manage multiple delivery conflicts and lead resolution efforts in support of Valeris business objectives. This role will be instrumental in ensuring that Valeris remains successful in meeting our customers’ evolving needs and will further contribute to what makes the Valeris Difference valuable in the marketplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex, multi-product program implementation projects from the account team’s agreement with the customer through the delivery of scope implementation
- Lead the Valeris internal project kickoff meeting to synchronize Valeris internal delivery responsibility and transfer scope delivery responsibility from the account team
- Develop project plans with Valeris internal cross-functional areas; set and manage on-schedule delivery and associated internal and external timelines
- As the owner of the project plan, sequence and schedule project requirements; communicate integration requirements to internal stakeholders; monitor, track, and report project implementation status to the team; and properly control scope changes as the project evolves
- Resolve project delivery conflicts that may result in partial or delayed delivery; escalates as appropriate
- Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements – verbally or through written documentation – to clients, internal functional areas, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that business requirements and solutions are clearly understood and appropriately documented
- With or through a program’s designated account team, provide periodic implementation progress reports to internal leadership and the customer to manage expectations and identify scope changes that need to be added to or removed from the implementation project
- Continually increases Valeris’ efficiency and effectiveness by applying lessons learned from previous programs’ implementations into each new project
- In coordination with Product Managers, Operations Managers, and functional department leaders, develop tools for account teams to use in developing a solid scope of work for customers’ programs, inclusive of all Valeris’ services and product portfolios, to properly frame each program’s SOW
- Exude pride in Valeris' with every personal interaction both internally at work and externally away from work
- Build healthy relationships with all internal functional areas by taking a leadership role with all internal project stakeholders to ensure successful project launch
- Utilize Valeris' values as the driving force behind the team’s success
- On time adherence to training deadlines for all corporate policies and procedures
- Ensure all SOPs are followed with consistency
- Perform additional tasks or projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of demonstrated strong Project Manager performance
- Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and ability to apply PMP fundamental is a strong plus
- Ability and willingness to take responsibility of delivery from a diverse and often distributed team without formal authority; ability to interact collaboratively with internal stakeholders
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong time management skills for self and project team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills is a must have for success
- Must have the business acumen to understand the value to Valeris and the customer of good scope control as a key part of the project execution
- Must be skilled at conflict resolution in building collaborative solutions
- Knowledge of Valeris’s solutions, internal processes, operating tempo, and marketplace is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours to make project deliveries successful
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time; typically weeknights only
