Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking an Implementation Coordinator for History within the OnRamps program. The role supports instructors, coordinates professional learning, and ensures fidelity to the OnRamps Four Pillars in course delivery.

Responsibilities include building relationships with stakeholders, coordinating institutes across seasons, and leveraging data to improve instructor engagement and course pacing. The position requires travel within Texas and a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in History, education, or related field.
  • Five years teaching experience at a high school.
  • Demonstrated understanding of High School teaching and learning.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to engage multiple internal and external stakeholders with decorum and tact.

  • Supports OnRamps Instructors in implementing courses with fidelity along the OnRamps Four Pillars.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with stakeholders through exceptional service and problem-solving.
  • Plans and runs annual professional learning institutes in Summer, Fall, and Spring for OnRamps instructors.

  • Position requires up to 5% travel throughout the state of Texas. Weekends and evenings possible to support course implementation, including during summer, spring, and fall professional learning institutes and enrollment deadlines.
Purpose

Supports efforts and ensures fidelity of implementation of the OnRamps History course to coordinate a high-level of instructional and professional development service and support to OnRamps Instructors.

Responsibilities
  • Supports OnRamps Instructors in implementing courses with fidelity along the OnRamps Four Pillars.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders by providing exceptional customer service, technical support, and problem-solving with professionalism, positivity, tact and decorum.
  • Develops and implements annual professional learning institutes during Summer, Fall, and Spring for OnRamps instructors in close collaboration with the Course Leads, OnRamps Assistant Director, and Professional Learning and Development team to ensure and enhance course implementation aligned to the OnRamps Four Pillars.
  • Implements on-going professional development and learning activities through weekly communication, monthly virtual meetings, and professional learning institutes.
  • Uses standardized relationship building strategies to cultivate and lead a facilitated network of OnRamps Instructors.
  • Develops and implements interventions for instructors with implementation challenges and those that are onboarded to OnRamps after annual Summer Institutes and throughout the academic year. Including but not limited to virtual meetings, coaching support, creating video examples, and video streaming into classes.
  • Utilizes data to ensure fidelity of implementation of OnRamps courses using data science methodologies, such as instructor engagement, pacing, submission rates, and performance.
  • Supports fidelity of implementation may include instructor resources in headquarters and investigations of academic integrity.
  • Facilitates an instructor support system using mentor instructors and online platforms to provide extra support for new OnRamps Instructors.
  • Creates video resources in the OnRamps studio modeling pedagogy and challenging content.
  • Supports and engages in designated special projects as assigned that support the mission and strategic direction of OnRamps as an organization.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in History, education, or related field.
  • Demonstrated understanding of High School teaching and learning.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to engage multiple internal and external stakeholders with decorum and tact.
  • Five years teaching experience at a high school.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in History, education, or related field.
  • Experience providing support or instructional coaching to teachers.
  • Proficient in Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) or another LMS.
  • Proficient in Smartsheet or other Project Management system.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to lay audiences using a respectful, client-focused approach.
  • Three years teaching experience at a high school.
Salary

Salary $60,000 + depending on qualifications

Working Conditions
  • This position requires up to 5% travel throughout the state of Texas, ongoing weekend and evening work to support course implementation, including during summer, spring, and fall professional learning institutes and enrollment deadlines.

Employment Eligibility

Regular staff who have been employed in their current position for the last six continuous months are eligible for openings being recruited for through University-Wide or Open Recruiting, to include both promotional opportunities and lateral transfers. Staff who are promotion/transfer eligible may apply for positions without supervisor approval.

Retirement Plan Eligibility

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
