Role Overview

Alfa is looking to recruit an Implementation Architect to join our team. At Alfa, Implementation Architects are responsible for understanding customer requirements and devising solutions to meet these requirements, through configuration, reports, system enhancements, data conversion, and integrations with other systems. Working closely with our customers and Alfa engineering teams, Implementation Architects are key to ensuring that the end solution for each client is fit‑for‑purpose and that the implementation of Alfa Systems is smooth.

Key Responsibilities

• Report into the Alfa Project Manager and lead a workstream on a client implementation of Alfa Systems for a specific area such as business analysis, system configuration, data conversion, or cutover planning.
• Business analysis: gather and document user stories; lead interactions with customers and software engineering teams to identify gaps and ensure new features satisfy customer requirements.
• Lead process mapping workshops and document operational processes with significant accounting, reporting, and integration impacts; advise on process optimization.
• Guide customers in configuring Alfa Systems to satisfy their business processes and provide support for accounting and finance workshops.
• Application support: lead an Alfa team responsible for defect investigation and triage, collaborate with software engineering teams to resolve issues efficiently, oversee QA and issue review, and provide workarounds pending issue resolution.
• Advise customers on test strategy, ensuring test coverage and requirements traceability.
• Data conversion: lead data mapping workshops, oversee transform and load development, and ensure data reconciliation.
• Plan and oversee execution of data conversion during go‑live events and prior dress rehearsals.
• Cutover planning and execution: support customers to ensure a smooth transition to live operation, create detailed cutover and rollback plans, and lead post‑go‑live support until the customer is stable.
• Develop training materials and deliver training sessions.
• Plan workstream timelines, estimate resourcing levels, and manage dependencies with the broader program plan.
• Proactively identify risks and issues that might impact workstream or program delivery, create and action mitigation plans, and escalte when appropriate.
• Become an expert in Alfa Systems and the industries we support, share knowledge with the broader company through training, contribute to delivery methodology updates, and assist the sales team with prospect requests.
• Lead progress reporting, manage workstream budgets, and develop exceptional relationships with client and Alfa teams through tact and diplomacy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of prior experience working on an Alfa implementation, using Alfa Systems.
• Experience in the auto finance/equipment finance field.
• Experience in a lead role on an enterprise software implementation program.
• Demonstrated experience in solutioning for client requirements through system configuration, gap analysis, feature design, data reporting, and integration with other systems.
• Proven people management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation Information

• Base salary range: USD $136,000 to $194,000 annually, in compliance with state and local regulations.
• Eligible for Profit Share bonus scheme (after 6 months of service) and Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
• Individual compensation determined by market data, experience, qualifications and internal job equity.
