Role Responsibilities
In your role as a Solution Architect, you will:
- Define and lead delivery of data platforms, end-to-end pipelines and system integrations, managing an implementation team of experienced developers and technical consultants.
- Support in the definition and implementation of best practice data engineering and governance practices.
- Translate business and technical requirements into solution designs, including definition of required work packages and resourcing.
- Support our clients in improving and optimizing their operating models, including resource management, technology architecture and business process.
- Use your knowledge of the vendor and tool landscape, both within our client’s technology stacks and the broader market to design appropriate solutions.
- Define and socialize technical approaches for implementation, e.g. SDLC, data migration, integrations, influencing client teams to your best practice perspective.
- Input to project definition, resourcing and timelines and objectives within a workstream or project.
- Drive documentation and development according to specifications and standards.
- Present options and designs to business and technology stakeholders, articulating Alpha’s IP in business process design and technical delivery to clients at all levels.
- Participate in project team meetings and communicate effectively with internal and client peers, architects, system analysts, business analysts, project managers, quality control, and across other technology team boundaries, reporting project status as required.
- Support Alpha’s internal IP with proposition and accelerator development, including at least one area of specific expertise.
- Take a lead in mentoring and coaching team members.
Role Requirements (Skills, Experience and Qualifications)
- 7+ years of experience in data analysis, engineering, architecture, roles, including experience with transformational projects.
- Hands‑on expertise with Master Data Management (MDM) platforms, with preference for modern, cloud‑native solutions like Semarchy, Profisee, Reltio, Curioum, and CluedIn; experience with established enterprise platforms including GoldenSource, Eagle DM/PACE, and Gresham/S&P/Markit EDM is also valuable.
- Strong data modeling experience, including conceptual/logical/physical modeling; experience with ERD tools like Erwin or ER/Studio is a plus.
- Hands‑on experience leading complex integration initiatives, ETL/ELT design (AWS Glue, Talend, Azure Data Factory, Fivetran, dbt) including API‑driven integration (A/synch, Web Hook/Callback, Event‑driven, Bulk), event streaming (Kafka, Kinesis, Event Hub), and real‑time data distribution in large business data environments.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric/Synapse; familiarity with modern data architecture patterns, such as data mesh, data products, and Lakehouse architectures.
- Proficiency in data governance and metadata management, including stewardship models, business glossaries, lineage, and tools such as Collibra, Alation, or Informatica EDC.
- Strong grounding in data quality and lifecycle management, including profiling, monitoring, remediation workflows, and policy‑driven controls.
- Ability to design scalable, secure, and reliable data architectures, incorporating best practices in access control, encryption, privacy, and regulatory compliance (e.g., SEC, GDPR, SOC2).
- Experience with data orchestration and transformation frameworks.
- Experience in the Asset & Wealth Management industry.
- Experience managing data engineering projects using Agile or other methodologies.
- Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.

The anticipated base salary for this role varies based on geographic location and is structured across three compensation zones. These zones reflect local market conditions and cost of labor. Geographic placement is determined by the employee’s primary work location.
Zone A | $163,000 – $186,200
Applies to candidates working in designated high‑cost metropolitan areas, including: Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA; Boston, MA; New York City, NY; and Washington, DC, as well as remote roles based in Massachusetts or the New York Tri‑State Area.
Zone B | $135,000 – $170,000
Applies to candidates working in key metropolitan markets, including: Austin, TX; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Charlotte, NC; Denver, CO; and Philadelphia, PA, as well as remote roles based in Texas, California, Pennsylvania, Florida, or Colorado.
Zone C | $125,000 – $160,075
Applies to all other U.S. locations not listed above.
Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and work location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. We are committed to equitable and transparent compensation practices across all locations.
