Job summary

Wayfinder Family Services in Stockton, CA is seeking a part-time Visitation Coach Specialist to support supervised visits for families involved with foster care. The role focuses on preparing children and parents for visitations, coaching during visits to build self-worth, bonding, and healthy parenting strategies.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma; a bachelor’s degree in social work or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred; strong coaching skills needed.
• Experience with family welfare, trauma-informed approaches is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate visitation in home, community, and office settings with families.
• Provide coaching to parents to strengthen attachment and parenting skills.
• Use Protective Factors and Nurturing Parenting Program in sessions.
• Ensure safe, nurturing visitation environments and intervene as needed.
• May transport clients and perform other duties per job description.
