Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking a Universal Pre-K Field Teacher to support multiple centers, guiding 4- and 5-year-old learners toward kindergarten readiness. You will implement developmentally appropriate curricula, communicate progress with parents, and maintain a safe, engaging classroom environment.

The role requires strong knowledge of DAP, a minimum education foundation as listed, and prior child-care teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Must pass required state and company background checks.
• Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
• At least 90 credits toward bachelor’s degree in early childhood education is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in early education or related field is required.
• NYS Teaching Certification (B-2, N-6, 1-6, Special Education) or study plan eligibility is preferred.
• 1 year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) for 4- and 5-year-old children is required.
