Job summary

Thearcas in Town of Bath, NY is hiring a Staff Development Coordinator working full-time at 36 hours per week. You will deliver training, coordinate onboarding, and manage training records in Relias to ensure compliance with OPWDD guidelines and 90-day requirements.

You will develop training materials, assist with annual updates, and collaborate with Human Resources to integrate training with HRIS. Strong communication and organization are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with some college coursework in a related field preferred.
• Two years of experience in training, delivering sessions, or presenting to groups.
• Mandatory SCIP R Instructor within 6 months of hire.
• Mandatory CPR/FA/AED Trainer certification within 6 months of hire.
• Alignment with agency’s mission, vision, and ethics.
• Demonstrate respect, professionalism, and empathy with active listening.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and virtual training programs as assigned.
• Evaluate participant learning and conduct post-training evaluations.
• Provide coaching and support for associates requiring additional training.
• Coordinate onboarding and new employee orientation training.
• Maintain Relias training records and generate monthly reports for 90-day requirements.
• Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure HRIS integration and accurate training data.
• Ensure compliance with SCIP, CPR/FA/AED certifications and workflow expectations.
