Job summary

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Sales and Production Associate to work in a production store and support the ARC program. You will assist with cashiering, sorting, tagging, and stocking merchandise while upholding customer service standards.

You will handle donations, maintain displays, and collaborate with management to ensure a hospitable environment for donors and shoppers. This role supports work therapy components and requires adaptability across several duties.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak and understand English for effective communication.
• Excellent customer service skills to engage shoppers and donors.
• Ability to understand and follow directions from supervisors.
• Ability to stand for long periods and manage busy store floors.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as part of daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Create a pleasant, hospitable work environment and maintain customer relationships.
• Assist store operations and ensure courteous service to all customers.
• Handle donations with care and respect toward donors.
• Maintain proper merchandise categories and color coding.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized store areas and dressing rooms.
• Report theft, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management.
• Follow provided manuals and policies for thrift store operations.
• Support work therapy program components as directed by supervisors.
• Perform various duties across cashier, sorter, pricer, and hanger roles.
• Sort, price, tag, and restock merchandise efficiently and accurately.
• Ticket and rag out merchandise per policy and calendar requirements.
• Move donations to sorting areas and assist with clothing racks as needed.
• Execute equipment, inventory, and maintenance tasks as assigned.
