Job summary

Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville, Tennessee, part of Covenant Health, seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist to support surgeons and the nursing team by maintaining a sterile field and delivering instruments during procedures.

The position is full-time with day shifts and 80 hours per pay period. You will set up and clean up procedures, uphold asepsis, assist with counts and positioning, and contribute to safety and quality initiatives in a Becker’s Top 150 Place to Work.

Qualifications

• Must hold current CST or TS-C certification established by NBSTSA or NCCT.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon before, during and after procedures by creating and maintaining a sterile field and passing instruments as required.
• Set up, perform as circulator or scrub tech, and clean up the surgical procedure; operate standard equipment used in cases.
• Maintain instrument and equipment integrity; ensure appropriate aseptic technique throughout.
• Assist with counts and positioning; follow safety standards and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
