Job summary

The State of Colorado is seeking a behavioral health clinician to provide substance use disorder assessments and treatment for justice-involved individuals at the Denver Complex. This role requires licensure in one of several Colorado state licenses and at least one year of relevant experience, with collaboration across medical and unit staff.

Qualifications

• Must hold one or more current licenses from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (LAC, CSW, LPC, Psychologist, or MFT).
• One year of licensed or license candidacy experience in substance use/mental health is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides substance use treatment services to the offender population, including assessments, clinical interventions, and crisis management.
• Enter and update diagnostics based on assessment findings.
• Collaborates with medical staff regarding MAT behavioral services.
• Serves as consultant for unit staff on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Provides clinical direction to non-clinical staff in behavioral health care for offenders.
• Ensures continuity of care by making appropriate referrals and documenting information for receiving units.
