Must hold a Professional Educator License to teach in Illinois issued by the Illinois State Board of Education.

Responsibilities

Report to the principal upon arrival fifteen minutes before the official school opening.
Review with the principal, team leader, or department chairperson all plans and schedules to be followed during the teaching day.
Oversee pupil behavior in class and during lunch and recess periods.
Write a note about work completed at the end of each teaching day for the regular classroom teacher.
Report to the building principal at the conclusion of the teaching day and verify whether services will be required next day.
Maintain established routines and procedures of the school and classroom.
Teach the lessons outlined in the Teacher’s Lesson Plan.
Consult with the building principal before initiating any teaching or other procedures not in the lesson plans.
Follow all policies, rules and procedures applicable to regular teachers.
