Qualifications

• BA/BS or higher from an accredited college or university (verified by an official transcript).
• Completion of the basic skills requirement (CBEST or Multiple Subject CSET) and completion of the appropriate Credentialing (CCTC) application 41-4.
• The basic skills requirement is NOT required for a 30-day Substitute Teacher Permit.
• The basic skills requirement IS required for an Emergency Substitute Permit for Prospective Teachers.
• Livescan fingerprinting is required; total fee $64.00 ($32.00 DOJ / $17.00 FBI / $15.00 processing).
• Payment of the required fees, currently $102.50 (fees established by the CCTC).
