Qualifications

• 64 college credits from an accredited university or college
• Kentucky Teaching Certificate or equivalently valid credential
• Must be 21 years of age

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership within school to improve student learning and support district/state initiatives
• Demonstrate content knowledge within assigned discipline and apply to other disciplines
• Plan, implement and assess instruction to develop students' abilities and problem-solving
• Assess student learning using various tools and communicate results to students, parents and staff
• Create and supervise a learning climate that supports achievement and safety
• Evaluate teaching effectiveness based on student attainment of Kentucky learning goals
• Use technology to support instruction and communicate with colleagues, parents and community
• Participate in required training and professional growth activities
• Secure and utilize school and community resources
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians
• Adhere to school, district, state and federal policies and laws
• Participate in school activities and meetings as assigned
• Maintain records as required by district policies and law
• Provide instruction aligned with curriculum and state standards
• Serve on ARC to determine eligibility for special education programs and support IEPs
• Perform all other duties assigned by Superintendent and Principal
