Job summary

Matrix Design Group, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Structural Project Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO. The role focuses on taking ownership of design assignments and contributing to broader projects including buildings, bridges, and infrastructure, with mentorship from senior engineers.

You'll prepare calculations, drawings, and specifications, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and help develop project scope, budgets, and schedules while maintaining quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering.
• Professional Engineer licensure or ability to obtain PE within one year.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience with an emphasis in structural engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural calculations in accordance with codes and project requirements.
• Prepare drawings, construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality projects on schedule and within budget.
• Communicate project progress, technical issues, and recommendations to project teams and clients as appropriate.
• Prepare permitting packages and technical reports for projects in various jurisdictions.

Education

Undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering with emphasis in structural engineering

PE licensure or ability to obtain PE within 1 year
