Discovered Search seeks a Structural Engineer in New Orleans to deliver precise structural design across commercial, industrial, and public sectors. You will contribute from concept through construction, integrating with civil design, surveying, and field technologies.

You will design foundations, framing, and seismic considerations; prepare calculations, drawings, and reports; review site plans; and participate in field inspections.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of structural engineering experience
• Proficient in structural analysis and CAD
• Strong knowledge of building codes and load calculations

Responsibilities

• Design foundations, retaining walls, slabs, framing, and miscellaneous elements
• Prepare calculations, drawings, and technical reports
• Review site plans and coordinate on load paths and constructability
• Conduct field inspections and construction observations
• Collaborate with civil engineers, surveyors and architects
• Ensure compliance with codes and best practices
