Job summary

Encompass Health is hiring a Speech Pathologist to provide expert speech and language rehabilitation across our nationwide inpatient network. The role emphasizes evaluating, developing, and implementing personalized treatment plans, with emphasis on patient progress and family education.

The team collaborates with other disciplines to deliver high-quality care in a supportive, inclusive environment and values ongoing education and clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CCC certification (Cert. of Clinical Competence) required for SLP.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Master’s degree preferred, or Bachelor’s degree with field experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating, assessing, developing, and administering personalized treatment plans for patients with speech and language rehabilitation needs.
• Identifying issues and modifying speech therapy treatment if necessary.
• Tracking and documenting patient performance, progress, and response to treatment.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
• Collaborating with care teams to integrate speech pathology into overall care.
• Maintaining clinical standards and adherence to state regulations and CCC requirements.

Education

Master's degree preferred

Bachelor's degree with field experience
