Job summary

Soddy-Daisy Healthcare Center is looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive SLP services for patients within our in-house therapy program. You will screen, evaluate, and develop treatment plans while ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities include supervision of assistants or rehab techs, discharge planning, and ongoing case management, with a focus on communication, cognition, and swallowing safety in a collaborative

Qualifications

• Strong clinical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English instructions, charts, and reports.
• License as Speech-Language Pathologist (state).
• ASHA CCC-SLP credential where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language pathology services including screening, evaluation, and treatment planning.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation and billing in line with guidelines.
• Provide updates to Rehabilitation Director on department activities.
• Maintain patient-centered interactions with patients and staff.
• Supervise assistants or rehab techs when applicable.
• Participate in care conferences, case management, and team activities.
• Develop and enhance SLP programs to support quality outcomes.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and patient rights policies.
• Pursue continuing education and professional development.
• Maintain licensure and professional certifications where required.
• Understand payment models and treatment guidelines.
