Job summary

Sentara Health in Woodbridge, VA is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to assess, plan, and participate in rehabilitative programs addressing speech, swallowing, language, voice and fluency disorders.

You will provide age-appropriate education to clients and caregivers, supervise others as needed, and develop formal plans of care based on standardized assessment procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Doctorate degree in Speech required or preferred depending on role and seniority.

Responsibilities

• Performs modalities/therapeutic interventions in accordance with accepted standards of care and department policies and procedures.
• Provides effective instruction to the patient and family through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training. Initiates, develops, and maintains collaborative interactions with internal and external team members, patients, and family members to improve patient outcomes.
• Productive and efficient in daily operations. Selects and performs the appropriate assessment procedures.
• Establishes and updates formal plan of care to address individual patient needs.
