Qualifications

• Master's degree in speech language pathology or equivalent
• Eligibility for CCC during a clinical fellowship year is acceptable
• NYS license as a Speech/Language Pathologist must be obtained within 12 months from date of hire, required
• BLS Certification within 6 months from date of hire, required

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat disorders of speech, voice, swallowing, language, and cognitive communication
• Work in acute care, nursing home, short-term rehab, and outpatient settings as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Develop and document care plans to promote function and safety
• Maintain timely documentation and comply with insurance requirements
• Coordinate patient care with other clinicians to optimize outcomes
• Extensive travel is required on a weekly basis
