Job summary

USA Staffing Network in Elmira, NY is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist for outpatient and inpatient rehab. You will evaluate patients, create treatment plans, deliver direct therapy to pediatric and adult patients, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve communication and swallowing function.

Qualifications include an accredited SLP program, eligibility for New York State licensure, and the ASHA CCC (or eligibility).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
• Eligible for New York State licensure and registration.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, or eligibility to obtain.
• One to two years of hospital-based experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and create individualized treatment plans based on physician orders.
• Provide direct therapy to pediatric and adult patients in an outpatient setting.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment goals and techniques.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with policy.
• Participate in departmental initiatives, in-service training, and continuing education.
• Contribute to the development of innovative speech therapy programs and services.
