Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP).
• Licensed as an SLP by the state or meeting licensing requirements.
• Minimum of one year’s clinical experience in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and assess home environments for speech/language needs.
• Develop and implement plans of care for functional speech defects.
• Administer therapeutic techniques and recommend communication aids as needed.
• Instruct patients, families, and caregivers on treatment regimes and collaborate with care team.
• Maintain accurate clinical notes and participate in discharge planning using EMR.
• Attend in-services, case conferences, and meetings to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain clinical competency in speech-language pathology practices.
• May supervise home health aides related to the plan of care.
