Job summary
Apache Junction Unified School District is seeking a dedicated, student-centered Speech Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, exempt position offers a starting salary of $57,997 (DOE) and reports to the Director of Special Educational Services.
You will screen, diagnose, evaluate, and treat speech and language disorders across Kindergarten to ninth grade, support IEP development, and collaborate with staff, families, and students to promote accessible communication
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
- Arizona state certification.
- Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Arizona Teaching Certificate with Speech/Language Pathology endorsement.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the screening, diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment of speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement IEP goals and select appropriate materials.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and services.
- Communicate with staff, families, and students regarding communication needs.
- Provide in-service training on diagnostic tools and classroom supports.
- Screen students referred by the school nurse to determine medical needs.
