Job summary

DeKalb County School District is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist to assess, treat, and manage a caseload of students with speech and language disorders, developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support educational outcomes.

This role requires expertise in assessment and intervention planning with collaboration among teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure student success throughout the school year.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA‑accredited program.
• Valid Georgia S‑5 or higher certificate/license to practice speech‑language pathology.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates students' speech and language abilities and develops IEPs to monitor progress.
• Provides speech and language therapy tailored to individual needs.
• Participates in MTSS and RTI initiatives with data-driven analyses.
• Attends meetings with educators, parents, and professionals to coordinate support.
• Maintains accurate documentation and reports on progress through the school year.
• Communicates therapy goals and student achievements to staff and families.
