Responsibilities

• Provides dedicated one-on-one support to students with mild to moderate disabilities, assisting with academic tasks, behavior management, and social-emotional development.
• Communicates with parents to schedule meetings and relay messages for special education teachers.
• Maintains student files/records and documents activities for reliable information.
• Monitors students in classrooms and school/community to ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
• Performs clerical duties to support teachers (scheduling, copying, etc.).
• Adapts classroom work under teacher direction to reinforce lesson plans and supports various settings (one-on-one, general/classroom).
• Provides accommodations (read-alouds, scribe, alternate locations for assessments, etc.).
• Assists with data collection and supports others as needed.
