Job summary

Great Hearts Academies is seeking a Special Student Services Teaching Assistant, Long-Term Substitute for August through October, 40 hours per week, hourly non-exempt status. The role supports special education and ESL teachers in delivering instructional programs and managing student needs in a classroom setting.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, Texas educational aide certification (preferred), and the ability to work with students with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Texas educational aide certificate preferred but not required.
• Highly Qualified as defined by TEA (as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support and assist with student care/management.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development.
• Assist in planning meetings to assess student needs.
