Job summary

Caliber Public Schools is seeking an Education Specialist to join our special education team at ChangeMakers Academy in Vallejo. You will collaborate with grade-level teammates and the SpEd team to support students in reaching academic and life goals through individualized learning plans.

You will drive data-informed instruction, assess progress, and integrate social‑emotional programming such as Restorative Justice, Mindfulness, and PBIS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Valid California State Teaching Credential or equivalent and transferable teaching license is required.
• Intern credential accepted.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Review student records and document service delivery.
• Assess students’ academic and behavioral needs.
• Provide academic and behavioral interventions to students with learning challenges.
• Maintain special education compliance according to district guidelines.
