Mounds View Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a long-term substitute to cover a full-time, Monday–Friday schedule. Start date is December 4, 2026, through April 30, 2027, with daily pay ranging from $240 to $293 depending on district rules.

The role requires MN SPED licensure, collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, and adherence to due process, crisis response, and behavior management practices while supporting students toward IEP goals.

Qualificações

• Valid MN teaching license in special education.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Knowledge of due process procedures.
• Experience with conflict resolution.
• Training in behavior management and crisis response.

Responsabilidades

• Adhere to due process guidelines and evaluate student needs.
• Maintain and develop IEPs and share progress with parents.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal rules.
• Maintain confidentiality per privacy laws (FERPA, MN Govt Data Practices).
• Provide direct instruction and support to students toward IEP goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to plan curriculum and assessments.
• Provide feedback to and supervise paraprofessionals implementing IEP goals.
• Monitor progress data and communicate with parents regularly.
• Advocate for students with disabilities and implement proactive behavioral interventions.
• Utilize safety and crisis intervention techniques as needed.
• Collaborate with related service providers and outside agencies when required.
