Job summary

Prodeo Academy is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide IEP-aligned instruction, collaborate closely with general education and support staff, and ensure compliance with state and federal requirements. This role emphasizes cultural responsiveness, equity, and strong family communication. The position is based at the St.

Paul Campus and reports to the Principal. A Minnesota teaching license in Special Education is required, with master’s preferred, and a commitment to closing opportunity

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related area.
• Active Minnesota teaching license in Special Education or related area (or ability to obtain).
• Experience in a K–8 urban public or charter school setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted, IEP-aligned instruction to students individually and in small groups.
• Analyze progress-monitoring data to inform instructional decisions.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to ensure coordinated supports.
• Implement approved curricula, instructional strategies, and evidence-based practices.
• Communicate with families regarding student progress and services.
• Attend required professional development and participate in coaching cycles.
