Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates support for the school system and its vision, goals, and priorities.
• Demonstrates knowledge of child development and characteristics of disabilities.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the prescribed curriculum.
• Participates in development of students’ IEPs as a member of the IEP team.
• Implements students’ IEPs.
• Schedules IEP meetings.
• Employs a variety of instructional strategies aligned to student needs.
• Monitors participation in regular education programs and collaborates with teachers.
• Uses data to plan instruction and evaluate programs.
• Maintains and prepares reports and records.
