Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) teaching license with Special Education certification.
• Eligibility to work in Wisconsin schools and maintain licensure requirements.
• Experience with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for assigned students.
• Participate in IEP team meetings and collaborate with families, staff, and related service providers.
• Adapt curriculum, instructional materials, and teaching methods for students with disabilities.
• Deliver engaging instruction using evidence-based strategies and assistive technologies.
• Assess student progress through evaluations and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive classrooms.
• Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment and implement behavior supports.
• Supervise paraprofessionals and support staff as assigned.
• Maintain accurate student records and required documentation.
• Communicate progress with parents and caregivers; participate in staff meetings.
