Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC in North Carolina seeks a Special Education Teacher to deliver direct and indirect educational services to clients with intellectual/developmental disabilities and mental health needs. You will contribute to the quality of education programs and work within an interdisciplinary team.

The role requires developing individualized curricula, documenting progress, and ensuring DPI compliance while maintaining dignity and respect for clients in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Special Education or related field and a willingness to obtain K-12 certification.
• Valid NC driver's license may be required and auto insurance if transporting clients.
• Current teaching certification or actively pursuing requirements as deemed appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate educational needs of clients using formal/informal tools.
• Develop and implement individualized education programs with the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Design classroom curricula and activities aligned to objectives.
• Maintain progress notes and update plans to support ongoing progress.
• Ensure compliance with DPI regulations and company policy.
• Assist in health care tasks and medication administration as needed.
